Isabelle Anne Madeleine Huppert is a French actress of stage, screen, and television who has appeared in more than 90 film and television productions since 1971. She is the most nominated actress for the C�sar Award, with 14 nominations. Huppert began her career on stage and appeared in her first film in 1972. She received her first C�sar Award nomination for the 1975 film Alo�se. She won the BAFTA Award for Most Promising Newcomer for the 1977 film The Lacemaker and the C�sar Award for Best Actress for the 1995 film La C�r�monie. She has also twice won Best Actress at both the Cannes Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival. At Cannes, she won for Violette Noziere and La Pianiste, while at Venice, she won for Story of Women and La C�r�monie. Her other films include Loulou, La S�paration, 8 Women, Gabrielle and Amour. She has also done some English-language film projects such as Michael Cimino's Heaven's Gate, David O. Russell's I Heart Huckabees and Ned Benson's The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby. For her stage work in France, Huppert is a five-time Moli�re Award nominee.
